Rhythms of Our Day
At Peak, we don't just fill time; we optimize it. Our "Recess-First" model is a strategically engineered rhythm that ensures students' nervous systems are fully regulated and primed for deep cognitive focus before they ever begin their academic blocks.
Morning: Regulation & Core Focus
8:25 am – 8:45 am | Arrival & "Recess-First" Regulation
We lead our day with purposeful outdoor movement. This critical window allows students to shed morning friction, regulate their nervous systems, and enter the academy grounded, energized, and ready for deep cognitive work.
8:45 am – 8:55 am | Handwashing & Core Setup
Students transition inside through our high-efficiency sanitation protocols. During this block, they check their daily targets, prep their workspace, and take extreme ownership of their morning layout.
8:55 am – 9:45 am | Core Work Block I: Mastery & Stamina
An intensive, high-focus block dedicated to Math, Language Arts, Reading, and Writing. Utilizing our WASC-accredited framework, students self-direct their focus, track their own output, and build the critical cognitive stamina required to meet and exceed their annual growth targets.
9:45 am – 10:00 am | Fuel & Community Huddle
A structured checkpoint for nutrition and high-trust community connection. We utilize this time for leadership development, mindset coaching, peer accountability, and reinforcing our crew culture.
10:00 am – 11:00 am | Core Work Block II: Targeted Execution
Our second intensive academic block. Students dive back into their core tracks, practicing self-reliance and grit while receiving targeted, small-group tracking and individual academic guidance.
